MultiTower® automated storage system with rotated stacker crane
In cases requiring the storage of a large quantity of sheet metal sheets, the ideal solution is the MultiTower® system with rotated stacker crane. Like the classic version, the system consists of multiple storage columns that enable the storage of materials on movable shelves. The load-bearing structure includes a front part and a rear part, between which the stacker crane moves along a travel track. The main difference lies in the shelf orientation – in the chamber system, shelves are inserted into locations along their long side.
The stacker crane is fully integrated with the system equipped with multiple loading-unloading stations, used for loading materials into the warehouse and transporting them to machines in the production line (e.g., punch presses, laser cutters, etc.).
Depending on the selected configuration, the Flower software enables material management (including controlling minimum stocks, handling electronic orders, ensuring FIFO principle) and integration with ERP-class systems.

Stacker crane – Principle of Operation
In the presented configuration, the loading-unloading station moving along the longer side of the shelf handles the delivery of new sheets to the warehouse – for this purpose, it is equipped with a hydraulic depalletizer for separating sheets from pallets and a referencing system that allows correct positioning of sheets on the shelf using a forklift. Two subsequent stations, moving along the shorter side of the shelf, deliver material to operators or production line machines.
