27th final of the competition for the best thesis at the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery

On 7 March 2024, our representative – R&D Director Marcin Maj – took part in the 27th final of the competition named after Marek Poncyliusz, D.Eng, for the best thesis defended at the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery at the Warsaw University of Technology. As a long-standing partner of the Faculty, Baumalog became a patron of the event, sponsoring special prizes for the distinguished graduates.

In the final seminar, R&D Director Marcin Maj was a member of the Competition Committee. Choosing the best thesis was not an easy task. All of them represented a very high technical level, covering many innovative and interesting solutions in line with current market trends.

The winner of this year’s competition was  Piotr Bomba, Eng. for his thesis entitled. “Development of manufacturing technology and testing of a bio-inspired gripper using the granulate solidification phenomenon”. The audience award went to Karolina Grabska, M.Sc., for her thesis entitled. “Application of artificial intelligence to the modelling of adaptive impact dampers”.
